High Protein Healthy Pudding Recipe
Apr 27, 2017Let’s face it, as much as we strive to be really good with our diet, avoiding the sugars, eradicating gluten and often all grains, eating all the good protein, sometimes its nice to have a little treat too. Short of rushing off to the ice cream tub, there are some great nutrition hacks that provide a sense of satiety and satisfaction without sabotaging all your hard work. This high protein healthy pudding recipe is so quick, so easy, and actually provides good nutrition while still feeling like a treat.
PROTEIN PUDDING RECIPE:
- 3 Scoops Chocolate Protein Powder
- 1 Cup Coconut Milk
- 1/4 to 1/3 Cups Chia seeds
- 1 Tablespoon Almond Butter
- Pulse in Nutri-bullet or similar 1 time, shake, pulse a few more timesā€Ø.
- Place in bowl, add cinnamon and red salt if desired to top.
ICE CREAM HACK:
Take the finished pudding and place it in the freezer for 30 min to 1 hour.
SUPER-SWEET TOOTH HACK:
Add 1-2 drops of a flavored Stevia such as hazelnut or mint.
Which protein powder to use:
I use doTERRA’s Trim Shake because it’s delicious and because it also has an ashwaghanda extract that helps to regulate blood sugar, appetite and adrenal health. It does contain whey protein, so people who are intolerant to whey could use rice, pea, quinoa or hemp protein.
This pudding is delicious. There are also lots of ways to adapt it to your tastes – using vanilla protein powder instead of chocolate, adding a drop of stevia or two, using other kinds of healthy nut butters such as hazelnut butter. If you can do some fruit you could even add some strawberries or blueberries on top. Yummo.
