The Power of NAD to Boost Your Health, Promote Cellular Healing, and Slow Aging
Oct 15, 2019What if you could feel like the real you? The best you? What if you could actually influence your genes, to live a longer, healthier life? You can, through nutrigenomics. We now know that we have control over how our genes are expressed – we can boost our inherent antioxidant production, repair our mitochondria, and now, with a supplemental NAD booster, increase sirtuin production by 100% (never heard of sirtuins? No worries, I’ll tell you more about them in a minute). The bottom line? Feeling better, living longer, enjoying life more.
The brand new NAD booster completes the tri-synergizers with its friends, Nrf1 and Nrf2. If you are interested in more energy, clearer thinking, happier mood and less discomfort from inflammation, then this will be for you. NAD can take your health to a whole other level.
How Does NAD Activation Work?
You may have heard the word nutrigenomics, or its more casual counterpart biohacking, but do you know what it actually means? Nutrigenomics gives us the ability to optimize how our genes are expressed, through diet, exercise and natural compounds. We always thought our DNA was how it was and there wasn’t too much we can do about it. But guess what? That’s not actually true! We might not be able to change our actual DNA, but we can influence how our genes are expressed, which ones are turned on and turned off – thus influencing our overall level of health, and our longevity. And who doesn’t want to live a longer, healthier, more fulfilling life? More time with your loved ones, being able to do the things you love to do, feeling happier, sleeping better, thinking more clearly – I think those are things that we all would like.
This is very different to supplementation. Supplementation involves putting more of a certain substance into one’s body to have a certain effect. It may be to correct a deficiency, or simply provide more of a desired compound. Activation, on the other hand, means that we are working directly at the DNA level – switching on the genes that promote good health and switching off the ones that are detrimental. That way we are triggering the body to do its own repair and optimization.
So back to NAD.
NAD is a molecule that has two key functions. One is that it is directly involved in the conversion of our food to energy. That is why boosting NAD boosts energy.
The second mechanism is that NAD becomes a cell-signaling molecule – it activates key enzymes within the cell, as well as proteins called sirtuins.
You might have heard that the only true way to extend one’s lifespan is through caloric restriction. Today some people fast or do intermittent fasting to trigger this mechanism. With an NAD promoter, we see a 100% increase in sirtuin production (compared with about 85% with fasting). But with no food restriction!
So what do these sirtuins do? They have a huge anti-aging benefit. They assist in managing inflammatory responses, they assist in maintaining healthy lipid and cholesterol levels, they support mental and physical energy levels, increase mood and motivation, and increase mental clarity and concentration. They are also involved in something called autophagy, a process by which damaged cells are taken out of commission and replaced with healthier ones.
We also see through research that NAD activation potentiates the Nrf1 and Nrf2 pathways. The three work together; and while Nrf1 and Nrf2 can take some time to feel the full benefits, NAD kicks into gear immediately. Most people feel better within minutes or hours of taking it.
The NAD booster is different from other NAD products in that others simply provide precursors that you hope your body uses to make more NAD; this one is actually activating the body at a gene level to turn on NAD production.
This is very exciting for our health potential.
